Inlay/Onlay
Inlay and onlay porcelain fillings are alternative treatment methods used in advanced dental caries.
Unlike the filling material used in the routine, the lost material in the tooth is restored with porcelain. Inlay and onlay restorations closely resemble the natural anatomy of the tooth.
Since the edge compatibility with the natural tooth is very good, the risk of leakage and new caries formation is reduced. Restorations covering one side of the tooth are inlay, and restorations covering more than one surface are onlay. A digital impression is taken with a camera through the mouth.
Inlay and onlay are prepared on the same day. In half an hour, the design and production of the tooth is done. Restoration is applied to the tooth.
INLAY ONLAY CONSTRUCTION STAGES
- A digital measurement is taken with a camera through the mouth.
- Inlay – Onlay design is done.
- Cerec cad cam (Dental scraper) is scraped.
- The restoration is completed.
